These lights, commonly referred to as jelly jar lights, are CSA certified for hazardous locations where flammable/combustible gases, vapors, and liquids may be present. They boast a heat-resistant lens and guard that prevents the lens from breaking. Additionally, they're rated NEMA 4X for protection against corrosion and wash downs. Moreover, these lights are sealed tight to keep moisture out while being able to work with any of the listed voltages when hardwired.

These lights are designed to be used in areas where combustible/ignitable gases, vapors, liquids, fibres or fines may be present during normal operations or maintenance work and also during accidental spills or ventilation system failures. They can withstand acetylene, hydrogen, ethylene, propane as well as carbonaceous dusts and non-conductive dusts in environments classified under Class I Division 2 Groups A-D; Class II Division 2 Groups F and G; and Class III Divisions 1 and 2.
