Below is less than 2 tones of Food Waste. Canada produces about 100 tones of Food Waste every single day! and that doesn’t account for the packaging material. All this food is either too ripe or un-saleable due to quality issues. Addressing Food Waste means addressing the issue of packaging material as well. At Shroom Stop our Proprietary Process Technology is capable of utilizing the Nutrients in Food Waste and Packaging Material to produce nutritious Mushrooms and a valuable Organic Fertilizer.

Having worked in facilities responsible for managing Food Waste, it was definitely eye opening experience seeing mountains 15’ tall or 53’ containers of food having to trashed or discarded.
